Relationship Transitions

Relationship transition counseling provides support and guidance for individuals and couples navigating significant changes in their relationships. I understand that relationships are constantly evolving, and transitions can be challenging to navigate. I work hard to provide support, guidance, and resources to help individuals and couples navigate these transitions with resilience, clarity, and compassion. I offer personalized support and evidence-based strategies to help individuals and couples navigate transitions such as marriage, divorce, breakups, blended families, empty nesting, and more. Whether you're embarking on a new chapter or adjusting to a significant change, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I offer support for many different types of relationship transitions and issues that arise, including:

  • “Unconventional” relationship transitions (romantic or domestic relationships into friendship or co-parenting)

  • Breakup, separation, or divorce

  • Pre-commitment support (marriage or commitment ceremonies)

  • Bringing together a blended family, or building a Family-of-Choice community/household

  • Children moving out/away from home (empty nesters)

  • Birth or adoption of a child

  • Grief around the loss of a partner or other significant life person (due to death, separation, or relationship change)

  • Adjustment to a new city or career with a partner (or partners)

  • Transitioning to a new relationship structure (like polyamory or non-monogamy)
